Tuesday evening 8:30 PM

{ The foolishness of last week had ceded into almost an unforgettable memory, yet one that faded into the background by well into Tuesday's time. There was a man on the ship Arumat had considered communicating with, on and off the occasional thought. Perhaps because for one reason, and practical purposes, it would be wise to truly get to know all those here.

Some people he need not hold private, confidential speakings with in order to be able to fathom what they were thinking. No... especially considering some of what occurred their latest trial. But Jason himself was an outlier amongst those and that drew Arumat to him, ever since the first day the man spoke to him that one time oh so many weeks ago.

Not to mention, he was curious about how the man ended up on the list as well -- and it may prove to be a good idea to speak with him about the situation as well in general.

Arumat didn't like to force surprises on anyone, so he proposed the meeting early on himself... possibly one of the rare times he showed initiative than it being the other way around.

He had no preference of where the meeting would be held -- but it seemed to have been decided Arumat would make an entrance into Jason's homey abode (hah) when he was allowed within after climbing that ladder. }

Hm. I've been told I was never good at small talk or other nonsense, although I'll state briefly that ridiculous joke you cracked made an interesting impression.

{ In other words, it may have amused him. But he will neither confirm nor deny at the moment, as he moved on -- swiftly. }

We may as well discuss what happened last week. Particularly if there's something you've done to anger anyone, including that AI.

"Ridiculous"? C'mon, it was comedy gold. Admit it.

[N...o... It was really bad. He knows it was bad. That's the point of cracking jokes; to make them so bad that anyone in the immediate vicinity feels compelled to roll their eyes. Though, it'd be nice if cracking jokes didn't come so naturally to him.

He's not handling the humor for anyone nowadays. In fact — it seems like Arumat is taking over that position for him. He snorts when he brings up what he assumes will be the topic of this conversation.]

I've done a lot to piss off a gaggle of people in the last week. You'll have to ask something more specific than that, unless you're ready to have a slumber party here.

[Remember the salves?]

Much better. But, unfortunately? I don't remember doing anything to piss the AI off specifically.

[The AI could just hate him on principle. It would make sense, considering he's been in the hot seat twice over.]

... Though, maybe she's jealous my behavior is nearly as disagreeable as her own. She might need everyone's undivided attention to warm the cockles of her cold, dark, cybernetic heart.

[He's joking, obviously.]

I'd say you should congratulate me, anyway. It doesn't matter if the AI sticks me on the vulnerable list or not.

[Saying this in the cockiest tone. Jason, stop doing this.]

If anyone here wants to see me dead? They can get in line.

[... And there he goes. Apparently, pissing people off is his specialty even back home.]

Thank you. Being appreciated makes me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside.

[He's joking, obviously.

Never mind that pissing the AI off is probably not the smartest thing to do on a murder ship, but. Nobody cares. The AI Pissing Olympics must go on.]

Honestly? No idea — but it's pretty damn long. I'm booked solid for months. Lots of brain donors making appointments to try and soothe their precious, bruised egos.
